Welcome back to our final half term of the year, I hope you all had a lovely sunny week off.

While you have this time at home with your child there are still plenty of opportunities for learning through play.
Read together and talk about the pictures in the books, sing songs and nursery rhymes, draw or paint, make a den, do some baking, have an indoor picnic, play games and sing counting songs.
Below are a few links where you can access activities we do daily in our Nursery Class.
We always start the day with some Dough Disco or Squiggle Wiggle. These are exercises to improve fine motor control, which are essential for mark making and writing. You can find dough disco videos showing the moves we use on the Spread the Happiness channel on You tube by following this link.

We also enjoy dancing and yoga with GoNoodle. We love Maximo in Nursery, but there are hundreds of different dances and songs for all ages, which are perfect for getting rid of all that extra energy.
If you can get outside in the garden to play, there are lots of fabulous ideas with The Muddy Puddle Teacher, who has free resource packs for parents during this time.
