Welcome to Year 6!
Welcome back to school. This page is the best place to stay up to date with what is going on in our class. This half-term, we will be focussing on Maths and English Key Skills and also spending lots of time doing Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE).
Please see below for the class newsletter and homework for this half-term.
If you have any questions, the best way is to message me on Dojo, or email school and they will pass on your message to me.
Latest from Year 6
Things in class are looking a little bit different this year, but we are still able to have lots of fun and learn lots!
We Love Reading in Year 6
This half-term we are doing lots of reading and we are focusing on two fantastic books.
During our English lessons we are reading ‘The Nowhere Emporium’ by Ross Mackenzie.
Our class novel, which we will read for enjoyment each day, is ‘War Horse’ by Michael Morpurgo.
Home Learning – Friday 10th July
Click on the link below to find information about your English and maths tasks for today.
In English, you will be using all of the information you have collected throughout the week to create a non-chronological report all about World War II.
In maths, you need to choose either Ready, Steady or Go and use written methods for addition and subtraction.
We use the internet all of the time!
From keeping in touch with friends, doing work and playing games.
The internet is a great place, but it is very important to stay safe. When you are using the internet, you should only be using websites and apps that your parents know about. You should also make sure you do not communicate with anyone new on the internet. Only talk to people that you are sure you already know from the ‘real world’.
